a crochet day | mini puff circles

Well, it looks as if I pulled myself out of my little pity party I had a few weeks ago. You see, I ran out of yarn almost a month ago which put me into such a depressed state. (Financial means caused my little problem) I really didn't think it was going to be all that bad. I did have other things to keep me occupied with but really, just knowing I was out of yarn made me severely sad. But thanks to a few sweet friends of mine ( you all know who you are ) I was able to dig myself free from depression.  Thank you all so much!!!

I dipped my fingers into all the pastel colors that I received...well, just about.!  I came up with a idea to make puffy little circles which later will be turned into squares to make another blanket.
Even thought we are in the middle of the most miserable heat wave, ever....my husband keeps the house so cold that I am dressed with socks and house robes, that I really don't mind working on it.

It's not really quite big enough to even call it a blanket, but soon....it will be.

Hundreds of puffs are being made with pretty greys, creams, soft yellow, mustard, and pinks. Ooooo, just look at them all!  They make me so happy. Happy. Happy. Content hours upon hours. Even some of the joining process has started, just to see how it's going to come out.
Can you see the BIG picture....the outcome is going to look so wonderful!!!

Summer Blues

 

 

Last couple of days have been slow. The heat is just too much for us. Our time has been spent mostly indoors laying around where it's been cool. I sort of feel like we went into hibernation. The house is a complete mess and so am I. No makeup for days. Hair in a messy bun. Complete lazy living. Garrett has taken over every inch of the living room with cars, trucks, trains, train-tracks, pillows, blankets, snacks, colors, and so much more.  I've knitted and baked hoping to chase these summer times blues away....it's not working!

I'll just eat another cookie~

the cream ones where my favorite to work up

but loving the white just as much



let's not forget some green just for the fun of it

:: a pillow ::

Well Hello there!!!!
Popping in to show you how far I've gotten with Garrett's bed cover.....As you can see, I didn't get very far, as far as I have gotten is the pillow.

It has been crazy busy around here this week with all the painting that we are doing, or I should say, all the painting I am doing. I had help on one room and that was about it. This week is all about the kitchen and it's about to drive me nuts. Everything is out of order. Cabinet doors are off the hinges, and everything that goes in them are scattered around the countertops so do you think I've had time to
crochet.....no.

Anyways, do you like it? Whatcha think?
I see some flaws in it just from looking at this picture. I used my new pattern square that can be found in my last post. I sort of lost track of my rows when making them so some are a little bit bigger than the others. I was a little too "lazy" you might say to rip them out and start over so I just went with it and joined them together as best as I could. Overall....I like it!

I think it will suite a little boy just fine, mistakes and all.
Well, that's it for now.....

Restless......

........why? Not really sure. Have I lost my mojo? Maybe.  Do I need a break from crafting? Who really knows. My mind has been so clouded lately I feel as if I am stuck in a whole and can't dig myself out.

I think it's because I have the fever for something new to work on. New fabric or more pretty yarn might do the trick but until payday comes around....it will have to wait. So what do I do in the meantime......ponder around some more in the garden, play around with blankets and quilts already made......

......dream of making more bunnies since Easter is on it's way......

.....play around with their dresses already made up, adding little accessories.....

....fold and stack some more.....

...or just hanging out doing nothing.....That's been me lately. Sorry for being such a bore. I am sure it will pass soon!
